About Anna Erickson

Anna Erickson is a private art dealer, advisor and the founder of ANNA ERICKSON PRESENTS, a curatorial platform for site-specific projects. Anna has exhibited at Untitled Art Miami since 2021, focusing on solo presentations by emerging artists.

Anna began her career at Gagosian Gallery in New York City in 2003 where she worked as both a Salesperson and an Artist Liaison, assisting with and managing exhibitions for Mike Kelley, Ghada Amer, Dan Colen, Piotr Uklanski, Cecily Brown, and Damien Hirst, among others. In 2009 she moved to Berlin, Germany to work for the gallery Haunch of Venison as a Director. There, she managed Michael Joo and Damien Hirst's large-scale exhibition, Have You Ever Really Looked At The Sun. She also curated and organized Yoko Ono’s exhibition Das Gift, which was the artist’s first gallery show in Germany (2010). In 2012 Anna returned to New York City to work as a Director at Hauser & Wirth, where she was responsible for sales and managing several gallery artists including Martin Eder and David Zink Yi. 

Anna’s independent curatorial projects include the group exhibition Amor Fati at Pioneer Works in Brooklyn in 2013. A year later, she curated a large scale group exhibition entitled All of My Friends (An Die Freunde) at the Kino International in Berlin, Germany. She has included notable artists like Douglas Gordon, Anthony James, Yoko Ono, Loris Greaud, Mickalene Thomas, and Angel Otero in her group shows.

Beginning in 2017, Anna launched her own private sales and advisory company. Since then, she has assisted collectors with their art purchases, conducting sales through her network of galleries and private contacts, as well as managing appraisals and consulting on projects for a select group of artists. In 2019 she opened a pop-up exhibition in the Miami Design District during Miami Art Basel week that received coverage in The New York Times, among other outlets.

Anna has represented galleries at numerous art fairs, including: TEFAF Maastricht, Netherlands; Art Basel, Switzerland, Hong Kong and Miami; Frieze, London and New York; FIAC, Paris; and the West Bund Art Fair in Shanghai. She has traveled extensively throughout Europe and Asia, where she visited clients in Seoul, as well as in Japan, Taiwan, and China. Anna is known for her discretion, her commitment to ethical art dealing, and her extensive network of global art world contacts. 

Anna grew up in Chicago and Nashville. She attended the University School of Nashville and earned a B.A. in Art History and Spanish from Arizona State University and a M.A. in Art Administration from FIT in New York. She was a founding and committee member of Soho House Berlin. Anna currently lives and works in Nashville, Tennessee.
